Need to catch up? - Letter 1 & Letter 2
It may not fully seem like it yet, but the creators are the ones setting the new standards of what jobs, careers, entrepreneurship and even the economy looks like.
Everywhere you turn there’s a 22 year-old YouTuber making $250K unboxing new gaming gear, an Instagrammer posting awesome “desk setups” pointing hundreds of thousands of followers to affiliated links for all the equipment and most recently, a 12 year-old who made $160K in 9 hours from NFTs creating “weird whales”…. you read all of this right.
Now, the last thing I want to do is glamorize those numbers above to entice people to give up their jobs, but if it demonstrates the possibilities and proves the point that we are no longer living under the rules of the old “system,” than I’ve succeeded.
If it gets you to question whether or not you need the validation of anyone else to boldly take your shot and do more of what resonates with your soul than the approval of others, then I’m doing my job.
Be permissionless, seek permissionless… find your sovereignty and create.
We’ve previously been told that the way to get ahead is to simply follow the standards of what constitutes “success.”
Well, society is quickly becoming dumbfounded on the idea that those who break from the “norm” to figure out a different path… one based on merging their passions with the Internet and a work ethic to design something “different”… are not only making a great living, but thriving. Heck, they’re even creating a new economy.
I saw this back in 2014, when I started a digital magazine stating…
I believe we’re witnessing a massive, global uprising of the Creative Entrepreneurial Class leading the “New Economy” – new industries characterized by cutting edge technology, hyper-growth and globally connected cultures.
And here we all are…
Anyone can create, build and publish to the world their ideas and brands using unique approaches and business models… and they can do so in most any industry no longer controlled by “gatekeepers” who deem otherwise.
The creators are in control. You are in control.
Read this week’s Simplify, Multiply, Diversify below…👇🏼
SIMPLIFY…
Be agile and minimal but thorough and detailed.
Interpretation…
Minimize the number of projects and things you’re doing so you can focus on building one or two right in front of you. Details matter but if you’re scattered across too many things, you’ll never finish one.
Lessen the number of things you focus on and be flexible to keep making them better.
MULTIPLY…
The Universe wants us to win.
From the book, Show Your Work, by Austin Kleon, he talks about the concept of sharing your creativity will lead to the discovery of your work. In the book he says,
We’re all terrified of being revealed as amateurs, but in fact, today it is the amateur — the enthusiast who pursues her work in the spirit of love (in French, the word means ‘lover’), regardless of the potential for fame, money, or career — who often has the advantage over the professional. Because they have little to lose, amateurs are willing to try anything and share the results. They take chances, experiment, and follow their whims. Sometimes, in the process of doing things in an unprofessional way, they make new discoveries. “In the beginners mind, there are many possibilities,” said Zen monk Shunryu Suzuki. “In the expert’s mind, there are few.”
Multiply your efforts, inputs and outputs by sharing in real time.
DIVERSIFY…
NFTs are not a fad… and they might be your ticket to scaling your value.
I know you’re seeing it everywhere and I know it almost makes no sense, but in actuality, you’ve been dealing with NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) much of your life… just in the physical sense.
Your baseball cards, your stamp collections, your pokemon cards, your autographed baseballs, basketballs and footballs and countless other collectibles. These have value because people are…
Willing to pay for verified and authentic pieces of memorabilia.
Willing to hold on to those pieces of memorabilia as they go up in value.
Willing to potentially sell those pieces of memorabilia for that higher value for a profit.
Well, that same concept has gone digital.
Now, using the Blockchain and Web 3.0, items of value can be verified and authenticated, but the difference is they CANNOT be counterfeited, replicated or stolen. That is because a specific transaction documents the origin of the item(s) and no one can say otherwise nor manipulate.
You can now sell something in the market, that others find value and are willing to pay for, have it documented, and if they should resell your work later on, you can even make royalties on your work.
If you’re thinking generational wealth, you’d be correct. The value of your work follows you for a lifetime and after you’ve passed, your family can continue taking the royalties… if you remember to mention that in your will. lol.
Instead of doing a long post here, I decided to dive deeper into the how of Blockchain, NFTs, automation, scaling and other Internet of Things with my upcoming Wednesday editions, but let me at least point you in the right direction with a few great articles.

Loved this newsletter so much Matty! Starting to become a fave part of the week and a major surge in inspiration! Thank you for being you and sharing so much with us 🙏
I absolutely loved this weeks letter. The sharing part really resonates! I JUST received the download to start sharing my writing but felt the resistance. This truly helped me push past that resistance. Thanks Matt! Can’t wait for Wednesday’s!
