Need to catch up?
And sometimes… more often than you think… you have all 3 (ideas, taste & vision)
Let me explain…
Back in November of 2023 I had done a post…
To which sparked much conversation online and was shared to millions of people (🙏🏼 Grateful)
It was also the missing piece to a concept of a “creator workshop & studio” I was already working on… (*it’s complete and I highly recommend it)
A way to…
help you organize your ideas and thoughts into your creativity,
organize your creativity into a way to present your work to be more consciously consumed by the world (…using Social Media & other outlets like Newsletters, Podcasting & Writing & Video), and
structure the way in which you build so you can not only bring awareness to your work, but manage the direction in which you’re building. (this last one is so you don’t burnout while being intentional with how you scale)
The fact is, I actually believe we have all 3 attributes (writing, designing & building) inside of us…
you inevitably have ideas coming through you all the time… that’s a part of living on Earth and having experiences, but more so a byproduct of your soul speaking to you.
And if you look around, there’s a reason you’re drawn to certain things, whether that be a type of art, a piece of clothing, the shape or style of a building or home, a website’s aesthetic, the food you consume, even your cookware (yes, even that)…
which means, you have a style and taste that’s uniquely all to your own.
And if you have ideas and a unique style, then sooner or later they can help develop a vision for yourself… whether you are currently working on one or at the beginning stages of learning what that is.
I actually address this early on in my Write, Design, Build workshop (with templates & organizational dashboards) focusing on the intersection of
what you’re good at
what you love to do
what the world needs
what you can get paid for
This is from the acclaimed Japanese word, IKIGAI… which refers to a passion that gives value and joy to your life.
Some may say… “well, not everyone is a builder.”
Is that true?
I don’t believe that.
If we’ve come to this Earth and are guided by our soul, aren’t we here to “create?”
Isn’t “creating” a form of building?
So, then if we’re all capable of writing, designing and building our lives… what holds us back?
Time, energy, resources, circumstances, environments, negative thoughts, imposter syndrome… shall I go on?
What if, instead of focusing on what holds you back, you examine what you can create from where you’re at.
Most people think you need a specific set of resources and circumstances to pursue a passion or create a different path…
yes, as you further develop your vision, additional resources will be helpful… BUT
in my opinion, the resourcefulness that comes from the early stages of applying your natural curiosity to a singularly focused next step wins every single time no matter where you are in the journey.
Hence, the niche is you and it always will be.
Which is why I love the digital age we live in…
We all now have the ability to create (write, design, build) the value we want to see in this world and empower others in the process.
Consider the following:
If we don’t see an option in the world that works for us, we must seek to build a different one.
Build your path in public so the world can benefit from your authenticity.
You don’t find your potential, you become it. It’s not out there, it’s within you.
Let’s expand here👇🏼
If We Don’t See an Option in the World That Works For Us, We Must Seek to Build a Different One.
And in doing so, you’ll provide additional paths for others in the process.
In society, what you see as “not working” is actually a way for you to contribute an alternative way of doing something… be it art, business, finance, health, and so on.
So, taking your interests, experiences & perspectives… and weaving them into the “niche of you,” then sharing your knowledge and wisdom with the world online, is not selfish but your duty.
When I created “Write, Design, Build,” I did so with a very distinct idea in mind.
Giving people the permission and tools to explore, organize and create from their natural curiosities & talents in efforts to re-establish more “creators” online building a different future…
Not one of niching down to the point where you’re fitting in, but niching out to the point where you’re standing out so the people who are looking for you can find you.
Social media is seeing a drastic shift back in favor of people wanting something real that can benefit the long-term affects of their life… be it a skill, a community, a perspective shift or an alternative route not prescribed by society’s antiquated systems.
Hence, the rise of digital creators contributing across thousands of disciplines…
And you can too.
There’s nothing that stops you from enjoying the things that come to you naturally and sharing them with the world who may be in need of that exact thing you do at that exact moment.

Build Your Path in Public So the World Can Benefit From Your Authenticity.
The world isn’t in need of perfection… they’re in need of authenticity.
Serve and the rest will follow.
When you build on a concept in real time and help people in the process, the world appreciates you trying… even if they don’t say anything.
It gives others hope that they can do the same… and as more people contribute, more value is brought into this world.
In fact, I’d say the less perfect it is and the more humility you employ, the more people can relate… and that’s how you can affect change… with yourself and others.

You Don’t Find Your Potential, You Become It… It’s Not Out There, It’s Within You.
This headline comes from an anonymous quote but it’s fitting to share.
Creating your own path and bringing your own unique value to the world is the way you tap into your potential…
It’s because you’re bringing forth ideas and turning them into something tangible that others can benefit from.
And it’s not overnight, but years of personal discovery and character development.
In a recent podcast I did, Are You Doing It For Your Ego Or Are You Doing It For Your Soul (Apple, Spotify), I asked the question…
is what you want because you’re seeing someone else in their gifts making it look good, or is it because that’s what you’re called to.
You can be inspired by others… there are lots of talented individuals who inspire me, past and present, but they only inspire me to look further into my own greatest potential.
It’s not out there… it’s within you.
Find whatever reminds you to go further in instead of seeking validation and direction out there.

Simplify, Multiply, Diversify below…👇🏼
SIMPLIFY…
Having a plan is good, but taking the next step is better… enough time will tell you the plan is always pivoting.
MULTIPLY…
If you want to see the world do better, show them a better option…
DIVERSIFY…
When you don’t niche yourself down, you allow yourself to have multiple opportunities from multiple interests. Don’t niche yourself to fit in.
